Web Content Week #3

This week is a Web Content Week!

It would be an article week, but I don't have one. If you wish to submit an article, please send it to us via email Tribblesntargspodcast@gmail.com we are always accepting submissions!

Web Site!

While looking around for ideas for a geek-themed Halloween party we are having this year, I found this website! This site has taken almost every food item on tv, movies, games, and books, and made them into real food. including: FISH FINGERS AND CUSTARD!!! Check it out! If you try one of the recipies, let us know how it turns out. I cant wait to try this stuff! Geeky Chef

Video!

Because Targ, Danny, Scott, and I are going to Disney World in October, I decided to put this on as our video. I love when people do the "play-all-the-parts" videos, and this is one of my favorites. kkep your eyes on the people not singing at the time. it is hilarious!

I usually do 3 things, but this week I am strapped for ideas, so I have only 2. Next week we will have another Audio podcast Supernatural Angels v Demons featuring Tribble, Diane, and Danny.

Web Content Week #2!!

I know, I know we are late, but as I am assuming not a lot of people read the actual blog, judging by lack of comments and poll answers, I figured it was ok to be a little late.

As stated before, our poll received no answers... so we don't know what super power you would want.

This week was Comicon!  Who went?! We didn't :( Maybe next year though! This week we are going to feature some awesome cosplay pictures we found (disclaimer, we do not own any of these photos, and if they are yours please let us know. We found them on Google search) our video is one I actually found today for all you haters of geek girls. And our website is a quiz on geekyness.

Website

This is a rather long, but fun quiz on geekyness. How much of a geek are you? Let us know in the comments! (Tribble was a "total geek" BTW)

Images

This week, since Comicon just happened, we wanted to salute all you cosplayers! Here are a few pictures we thought were awesome, and different! keep in mind cosplay is all about being creative in our minds! Accuracy is awesome, but a fun cosplay is just as good! disclaimer, we do not own any of these photos, and if they are yours please let us know. We love to give credit where credit is due! We found them on Google search.

So here are a few of my favorites cosplays from who knows where or when.

Chose wisely Indy!

Baby Ruth anyone?

Here is Grant Imahara as a Colonial Officer!

You can't go wrong with a gaggle of Doctors! (and a cat nun and a U.N.I.T officer apparently)

No one would have deleted this cosplay!

Girls can play guys too! She shot first!!

Finally, because it is Tribbles and Targs, we cant leave out the Trek!

Video

This video is made of awesome! Girls can be geeks too, and just because we have boobs it doesn't mean we cant enjoy all the things guys do. geek girls come in all shapes and sizes, all colors, and creeds. Don't judge them, and they will not judge you.

Web Content Week!!

Welcome to the end of our first FULL MONTH of posts!!! I hope you have been enjoying our new show!

Last week our poll was about Star Wars movies! It looks as if most of you enjoy the classic movies to the new ones! Good to know for possible commentaries!!

This week we have a Web Content Week. This is basically just some videos or games or news that we have collected over the month from us, or from our listeners... that's you, incase you were un-sure!

We will share some news first, then a photo, then some video.

NEWS

Here is an article about "Game experts believe they've uncovered earliest known version of D&D". This link was sent to us by Pat from Cave Comics in Newtown CT. Here is a link to his awesome store: http://www.cavecomics.com/

This article was very interesting to us as Targ is a huge D&D fan. http://www.blastr.com/2013-4-29/game-experts-believe-theyve-uncovered-earliest-known-version-dd

IMAGE

As geeks, we are very interested in the final frontier. Space, I mean. We often check in at the Spitzer Space Telescope site (http://www.spitzer.caltech.edu/), and the images from there are fraking amazing! Here is one from June 5th, 2013:

From the Spitzer site: "Dozens of newborn stars sprouting jets from their dusty cocoons have been spotted in images from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope. In this view showing a portion of sky near Canis Major, infrared data from Spitzer are green and blue, while longer-wavelength infrared light from NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) are red.

The jets appear in green, while young stars are a yellow-orange hue. Some of the jets can be seen as streaks, while others appear as blobs because only portions of the jet can be seen. In some cases, the stars producing jets can't be seen while their jets can. Those stars are so embedded in their dusty cocoon that they are too faint to be seen at Spitzer's wavelengths."

VIDEO

Now here is a video of this kid called Jon Cozart (@joncozart on Twitter, and http://www.youtube.com/paint on YouTube) who does fun videos about geeky things (usually involving music) like Harry Potter, Disney, and LOTR. Here is his video about Lord of the Rings called "Lord of the Rings in 99 Seconds":

So this concludes our Web Content Week! I hope you all liked the set up. What, if anything would you change? Please let us know in the comments section!

And don't forget our poll this week!!

Next week we have a podcast featuring Diane and Tribble discussing Sexy Men of Geekdom!
